・Manages customer and supplier relationships to ensure that Category Strategies are highly aligned to current and future Business needs and that the supply base is capable of supporting these strategies
・Oversees implementation of category plan to ensure the underpinning process improvement and procurement activities deliver the expected business value in accordance with the strategic plans
・Strong customer service orientation with a focus on establishing and maintaining a strong customer service culture. Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and demands, to sell benefits to stakeholders and build and maintain stakeholder confidence, trust and satisfaction.
The Strategic Sourcing Partner will have accountability for a spend category across Commercial/R&D within . Furthermore, the job holder will be accountable for acting as a business partner to a department within with the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders in order to effectively influence business decision making. The job holder will be expected to actively contribute to the structure, style and delivery of the wider Japan Procurement function, as well as develop strong links with above market Global Category teams. There will be a strong expectation that the job holder will act as an ambassador of Procurement, confident and capable of talking about any element of the function, and able to represent the function when engaging with any Procurement or Business stakeholders. The Strategic Sourcing Partner will be highly collaborative in their approach, able to demonstrate leadership and strategic vision that builds strong trust in their own capability and that of their function.

  • ・Communicates naturally with senior management with a strong ability to focus on issues critical to senior leaders
    ・Oversees implementation of category (sub category) plan to ensure that the underpinning process improvement and procurement activities deliver the expected business value in accordance with the strategic plans
    ・Actively contribute to the structure, style and delivery of the wider Japan Procurement function, as well as develop strong links with above market Global Category teams.
    ・Supports the Global/Regional Category Lead in strategic relationship management (customer and supplier) - to ensure that Category Strategies are highly aligned to current and future Business need and that the supply base is capable of supporting these strategies.
