Head of Medical Information, CDMA, Medical



Lead the successful definition, scoping and project management of strategic initiatives within Medical information. Develop and manage projects from beginning to end, including project scope, timeline, resource allocation, and project execution coordinating remote work closely with global teams.
Provide strategy and project management to team to ensure the project team has a clear understanding of timelines, risks, escalation path and roles/responsibilities they will undertake within the project team.
Ensure delivery of high-quality, balanced and timely written or verbal medical and scientific information upon the request of customers and internal stakeholders.
Collaborates with Global Medical Information for the development /maintenance and review / approval for the localization of global medical response documents.
Autonomously plans and facilitates disease, product, response document and process-related training of medical information call center associates.
Systematically compiles / assesses / maintains / communicates metrics that monitor Medical Information trends.
Analyze and integrate multiple sources of external and internal data to identify customer insights and leverage these insights to further develop medical understanding and campaigns.
Ensure external customer contact center activities are compliant and efficiently operated.


  • Required Qualifications
    Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
    Applied experience in implementing innovative ideas or solutions to create new values in digital transformation.
    Strong digital capability background for implementation of innovative digital solution to improve customer experience. For example,
    Experience with core IT infrastructure components and service concepts.
    Experience of interactive website development, implementation and optimization.
    Experience of data analytics tool utilization (e.g. Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics) and data visualizations.
    Experience of mobile application utilization to expand customer touchpoints and improve customer experiences.
    Five+ years of experience managing projects from initiation to closure.
    Knowledge of inquiry response management systems or capabilities.
    Leading experience of information/database management system development and implementation.
    Experience managing conflict, escalations, negotiating compromise and influencing others and problem solving.
    Excellent verbal, written, and overall communication skills for communication with global and local stakeholders. Business level Japanese and English in writing, reading, speaking and listening are mandatory.
    At least 2 years of formal people management experience.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Advanced scientific degree in pharmacy (PharmD) or related science (PhD, MD) with 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical / biotech industry.
    Demonstrated project management skills with Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
    Knowledge of medical information processes and industry standards.
    Prior experience working with medical information or medical communication systems / databases.
    Understands the process for developing medical information response documents through the use of regulatory label, published medical literature, clinical study reports, posters, and abstracts.
    Understands drug development, health authority regulations and reporting requirements for adverse events and medical communications.
    Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities.
    Demonstrated experience communicating effectively across organizational structures and multiple management levels.
    Ability to successfully facilitate collaboration across multiple functions, departments and levels and serve as a role model for teamwork.
